Today we recognise an exceptional milestone within our organisation — 20 years of service from our Group CEO, Paul Kell.
The award was presented by our Group Aftersales Director, Andrew Bibby, who shared a heartfelt message on behalf of all teams across every island.
A word from Andrew:
“From all the teams in all the islands, it’s important you know how much we rely on your calm leadership — especially throughout our transition into the Van Mossel Group. You always find the time for every member of the team, at every level, and your consistent management style, unwavering support and total focus have guided us through some of the most significant changes in our organisation’s history. Your leadership truly sets the standard.”
Paul’s Journey: From Parts Driver to Group CEO
Paul’s career is a testament to what dedication, passion, and an unshakeable work ethic can achieve.
He began his automotive journey as a Parts Driver for a Toyota dealership in Hampshire. From there, he moved to a Vauxhall and Rover dealer, first as a Service Advisor, later progressing through Parts Manager and Aftersales Manager roles.
His growing expertise took him to Pendragon, supporting Fiat and Alfa Romeo, before joining a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Brentford as Aftersales Manager — a role that saw him promoted to Aftersales Director for Mercedes-Benz South London, and later becoming Aftersales Director for Mercedes-Benz UK (MBUK).
A chance meeting then changed the course of his career.
In 2005, Paul joined the Jacksons Group to lead the Aftersales division in Jersey — his first taste of island life. His impact was immediate. He became Operations Director, then Managing Director for Jersey and Guernsey.
In late 2016, Paul embraced a new challenge and moved to the Isle of Man to oversee the opening and development of what became the Group’s flagship facility.
With the acquisition of Jacksons by Van Mossel in 2023, Paul stepped into his greatest responsibility yet — becoming Group CEO for the UK and Crown Dependencies, overseeing Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight.
